Seamus Wright, Guy Walsh, Tyrone Babbidge, Fred Schofield and Phil Warren are A Personal Victory. A group of unassuming lads, brought up on a diet of the 80’s and 90’s, right up to the present day. The guys were brought together through a passion for music and performance. All hailing from South London, APV was formed in August 2007, with the guys now using their widely varying influences and styles of play to create catchy guitar driven pop songs. Abi Thommes
Abi Thommes has been playing music since about the age of seven. She was classically trained on the piano, flute and voice until she left school at the age of 18. At school her main instrument was the flute in which she was awarded a scholarship but her main focus and passion was always song-writing and sitting down at a piano and singing her songs live.
She wrote her first song when she was twelve; influenced by her singing teacher who brought her and three friends to a recording studio to each record their song. From then on Abi progressed as a musician and songwriter. Abi accompanies herself on the piano and more recently the guitar.
She is currently living in London, soaking up the music scene, playing gigs, going to gigs and constantly writing new music. ‘London is such a contrast to what I have always been used to, but I love it, I love being busy, I love being in a busy place. Everything is just so exciting.’

In a market saturated with songwriters and performers, there are few individuals who stand out amongst the crowd. Alexis Dallman is one of those artists who captures your attention the moment she walks on stage. Alexis' songs range from ethereal ballads to punchy pop/rock. Her music is embodied with a hellacious passion and undaunted perseverance; qualities which are indignant to her own personality.
Like many great musicians, Alexis' inspiration to play was established at a young age. As early as kindergarten, Alexis had a fan club. She would put on performances for her classmates in the sandbox. Her mother recalls, "It was amazing, the whole class of five year olds sitting quietly as Alexis did her show." As her desire to write and perform began to develop, Alexis took up playing piano, guitar, and trumpet.
Her first professional studio experience came at age twelve, when she got the call-back for the American Girl Dolls commercial. During junior high school she participated in talent shows as the only individual who sang original material. Her writing and performing continued through high school, as Alexis began to find her voice and develop her sound.
During her teenage years, Alexis acquired a taste for mischief. Her behavior landed her in a lock-down facility, where she was allowed few amenities aside from her guitar. The two years spent there were the defining moments in Alexis' growth as a songwriter. In an environment designed for self-reflection, her songs began to write themselves. Before graduating from the program, Alexis was offered an opportunity to record twelve songs at Brigham Young University.
Soon after, Alexis moved to Chicago where she continued to write and perform. She then moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where she attended The Institute of Production and Recording, and acquired a degree in Audio Engineering and Production. During her time there she was offered an opportunity to record her song, "Sounds Too Late," with Prince's protege, Paul Peterson (aka St. Paul) and engineer Tom Tucker (Lucinda Williams, Prince, Johnny Lang). She was also featured on a commercial for the Ohio state lottery after being recommended by jingle writer Steve Horner (MTV, FX, Nokia). Alexis then began work on a five song EP with producer, Kevin Bowe (Johnny Lang, Etta James, Richie Sambora). "The Most Class" is an eclectic mix of rock, pop, and soul.
In the summer of 2007 Alexis arrived in Nashville, Tennessee in an effort to build upon her talents in the competitive market of music city. She is currently writing, recording, and showcasing her music around town. Among the great talent in the city of Nashville, Alexis has the gravitational personality that pulls the audience in and the inspiring songs to entice their emotions.

Ben Elliot is an innovative new artist from York in the UK. His music draws together influences from rock, pop, film scores and much more. Five years ago Nick decided to learn the guitar and this lead to him and a friend playing local gigs, doing covers mainly.
Martin and Ian came to see Nick perform and gave him the chance to jam with them. Things worked out rather well and by the summer they were gigging.
Paul Moss joined us on bass at the end of last year. Paul has brought a great deal of experience and inspiration to the band. In terms of the band, it feels like ‘the whole has become greater than the sum of its parts’.
Billy Wears Dresses now play so regularly they have a reputation for turning up at the opening of an Amazon package. Pubs, Clubs and Bah Mitzvahs. Sell out nights at The Central Theatre in Sittingbourne have led to some festival gigs this summer - watch this space for details!

This music world is about to get a music legend. Bobby Smith is a 24 year oldComtemporay R&B/Pop Funk Star who reins from Houston Texas. He is the former lead vocals for now defunct group E'ccentric.
Bobby grew up in Houston performing all over town for talents shows and contest winning most of them. After many years of performing for contests, friends and neighbors, Bobby decided to pursue singing as a professional career. In early Feb 2000 a friend suggested heanswer an advert in the local paper for a personal management company that were looking for male singers for a pop-group.
For 2 years Bobby was head vocals for the now Defunct Male pop group "E"CCENTRIC". E'ccentric performed all over the country grabbing fans not only in the US but as far away as Europe. However, due to creative differences and Bobby deciding the whole "BOY BAND" things was NOT his "bag" He decided to take a chance and take the whole by storm as a solo artist. Happy with his manager Diana Liner of Liner Entertainment Group (LEG) he decided to stay with her, and from advice to her from colleagues about BOBBY and problems with otherband members, she dropped E'ccentric from their contracts and took BOBBY as a solo artist.

Guy Barnes comes across as a very private guy ,a singer/songwriter musician/producer/Biker!!
Carrying in his throat a huge vocal range, his Coverdalian/Bon Jovi timber raw in its power makes the hairs on your neck stand on end, he can rip into a song with unbridled charisma like a man possessed or caress a ballad with the tenderness of a father holding a baby for the very 1st time.
Guy is also a multi instrumentalist with the ability to play anything he picks up or indeed picks him up.
He cut his teeth at a very early age playing the local bars and taverns in a succession of bands when he was discovered by Legendary audio designer and engineer John Oram.
John recognising Guy`s ability to write and perform set him up with his own studio, and crafted the young artist slowly teaching him about production and arrangement, and letting Guy write and write.
Guy`s brightest moment was writing and developing girl band Beau-t, who he helped get signed to Mercury records under Fame Akademys Richard Park.
Guy wrote and co-wrote 35 songs, 2 albums and produced the vocals for the 1st single.
Unfortunately due to politics inside the band,the deal didnt work out and Guy went back to the drawing board, moving back to West Sussex.
Guy feeds his desire for creativity developing and producing bands and artists in his studio when he is not writing, he owns GnT Productions recording and Video(www.gntproductions.com)
He now feels its time to dedicate some time to his own career again as a singer and songwriter, and in this vain with the help of his band of merry Gypsys, Al Hutton (co-writer and guitarist) Gavin Smith (drummer) and Brad Rice (bass), Guy has embarked on a new album entitled Suicide in Fractions, which will be available to buy early new year, tracks from the record can be heard here www.myspace.com/guybarnessongs

Hollow Horse
Formed in Glasgow during the Autumn months of 2001, Hollow Horse have developed steadily since their inception. Every step has been a forward movement, every gig a lesson learned. As a result, the band have suffered little of the self-mythology and unwarranted hype which has proved the ruin of so many of their contemporaries.

Who said grunge was dead? Hollowvibe are a four-piece from Peterlee who encounter the classic early 90s rock sounds that are absent (and indeed, sorely missed) in todays musical landscape. Songs such as science cant explain use the classic grunge soft verse-loud chorus structure, along with hooky, competent bass lines. Other songs such as City Romance take you back to the ever so slightly country-singer sounding voice of Kurt Cobain when Nirvana covered Meat Puppets songs at MTV unplugged. The overall, energetic, riff-laden sound of the music could be compared to Pearl Jam and A perfect circle, where as, vocally, Hollowvibe sound somewhere in-between Eddie Vedder and R.E.Ms Michael Stipe. I met Duri Darms (Bass) and Martin Skerndahl (Guitar) at the LMS (London Music School) in 2004 they are both in (Hoosier Complex www.thehoosiercomplex.com). Duri produced my first demo at LMS and has helped me move forward as an Artist. He produced These Are The Days which is on my EP.
Joplin Sibtain (keys) is an actor in London, we are house mates and so it wasn’t too hard to convince him in the studio.
Emma Wilson (BV’s) is well known singer in the Jazz and Funk scene, she also runs her own music nights (www.emmawilsonmusic.com).

Hello, we are JST and we hail from Evesham in Worcestershire.
We've been playing for around a year now, and have just finished recording our first six songs for the mini EP... which will be available very soon. Our music is kind of alternative/funk/pop and we have many influences ranging from Incubus and Maroon 5 to Muse.

Knit Delicate
Charles Jordan might not be a name you recognize unless you've paid close attention to the Milwaukee music scene for quite a while. The singer, guitarist and songwriter was a member of The Nerve Twins in the 1980s and later was a member of Soda and did a brief stint as drummer in Maki.
While he set music aside for a while to open Foundation, a Riverwest bar, most everyone he'd worked with over the years had moved on. So, although Jordan could still be found every day at Foundation, 2718 N. Bremen St. -- and despite the fact that he continued to write music -- he had basically disappeared from the Milwaukee music world.
But that has changed and under the name Knit Delicate, Jordan has released "Pressed," a CD that a mutual friend has called one of the two best local discs of the past year.
Jordan went to Richmond, Va., to record the disc with former cohorts Tim Buckley, John Daniels, Al Weatherhead and Miguel Urbitzondo (aka Mickey Rodridguez and Mickey Rad in his Milwaukee days). Those cats have worked with the likes of Sparklehorse and Cracker since leaving Milwaukee about a decade ago.
Melodic and poppy but with a satisfying slate of crunchy, jangly and twangy guitars, "Pressed" is an addictive mix of power pop and garage rock with alt.country overtones.

I started playing violin when I was 5 and when i was 12 I taught myself how to play guitar and drums. Over time i eventually learned how to play bass. When I first started playing guitar i would find anything that had simple chords so that i could also sing along when i played. Then in the summer of 2005, between 7th and 8th grade, I wrote my first song and I haven't been able to stop. Everytime I think of something really catchy, I can't help to write it down and make it an actual song.

LIKEN are a new Pop/Rock band from the Midlands and Worcestershire.
Since forming in August 2006 they have been combining their diverse and eclectic range of musical influences and styles to create catchy and inventive Pop/Rock songs.
David Murphy is 26 years old and lives in Birmingham. He is a University graduate, having studied music at degree level. He enjoys writing, composing and performing, and has been playing in bands for around 10 years. He takes his influences from bands such as Van Halen, The Police, Iron Maiden, Genesis, Led Zeppelin, The Smiths and Dream Theatre but also enjoys listening to classical music and jazz. He is the guitar player in Liken.
Mark Francis is a music student who has achieved a National Diploma in music practice and is currently studying for a degree in Popular Music at the University of Wolverhampton. Marks influences are drawn from a wide range of genres and styles from rock, jazz, funk, hip hop and r’n’b. His all time favourite band are Steely Dan but his record collection contains anything and everything from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers to Burt Bacharach. Mark has played in many groups through College and University routes playing at venues across the midlands, often performing covers. Liken is the first band he is writing original material helping to encourage a unique and distinctive direction. He is the druCraig Francis plays bass in the group but is also a composer/pianist/vocalist in his own right. Influenced by the sophisticated jazz/pop of Steely Dan through to the reflective song writing of Ben Folds, Craig is a keen multi instrumentalist with varying tastes. His most recent musical education includes BTEC and HND in music studies, which has bought him into contact with musicians in and around the Birmingham scene where he lives and gigs. Michael Woulfe is a singer/songwriter who, with David Murphy has pursued a music career for several years now. Having regularly gigged in Birmingham with bands such as 51:50 and Trilogy with guitarist Matt Lees from Orius, he has ten years experience at the age of 26. He has studied music at degree level. This consists of four Midlanders who have been drawn to the North to find their fortune. The poetry of Andy Craven-Giffths is combined with an upbeat combination of live and electronic sounds.
Krishna, Matthew and Lee, have previously worked together on other projects, such as supporting the Mad Professor, Mr Thing, Junior Murvin and Shimon (Ram Triology), and were looking for inspiration for a new musical venture. They discovered Andy and his lyrical imagination through a group of Leeds break dancers, which was the perfect solution.
Middleman is shortly to be embarking on their debut UK tour, which includes venues in Leeds, London Manchester, Nottingham, Leicester and Brighton. Check out the website for dates and info.

Bristol born Mike McGinty began singing at the age of 9. Ever since, he has always been an all round entertainer. But his real passion is songwriting, and 3 years ago he set out to make something of himself. He started recording at the age of 11, just using basic recording equiptment such as a cassette recorder, Microphone, and an amplifier. Mike grew up living on and off with both parents, and in childrens care homes, but always had a passion for singing. As life went on, Mike took every oppertunity he could to learn more about the music industry. He still remains in the south west of the UK, but if his music carer takes off he will probably live back in Bristol. He has wrote numerous songs all of which are either complete solo efforts and sometimes partnered with his best freind Jamie Osborne. Mike is presently a top 40 artist on AiiRadio and his song NO MORE reached number two in their chart. He's still recording and going very strong.

Music is embedded in Nathalie Matthews very being and with a new start and a debut album this beautiful Canadian vocalist plans to open herself up to the world and allow all to experience what she has to offer.
As a child Nathalie was encouraged to explore the arts. By the age of 11 she could play the flute, the saxophone and the piano, but it didn’t take her long to discover that her favorite instrument was her voice. With an amazing six-octave range and stellar stage presence, everyone who heard her sing was astounded by the maturity of her voice. At the age of 16, Nathalie started her first band and soon became a hometown favorite. She later entered the Miss Montreal Pageant and won the category of “Best Talent.” She went on to compete in the Miss Quebec Pageant and because of her friendly demeanor and outgoing personality she was chosen as “Ms. Congeniality.” With a newfound fame and confidence Nathalie connected with the management of Grammy-award winner Celine Dion and landed the coveted spot of back up singer. Her amazing talent and fluency in French made her an asset to the bilingual singer’s band. After touring with Celine and learning the art of performance from one of the best, Nathalie decided to strike out on her own, formed a new band and began to tour Eastern Canada. Even though she had no album and no airplay, Nathalie was able to garner a large fan base. Once audiences heard her they had no choice but to love her!
As fate would have it Nathalie fell in love and decided to put her singing aspirations on-hold to pursue family. In 2005, she decided it was time to let go of her last love, while re-embracing her first love and what better place to start fresh than the United States? She traveled to Las Vegas and participated in the 2005 International Music Festival. Nathalie wowed the judges with her powerful voice and was awarded the category of “Best R&B Pop” artist. The opportunity and exposure also allowed her to cross paths with some of the best producers the industry has to offer and after recording a few songs in New York she moved to Los Angeles, CA, to record her album and launch her own label, Cougar Entertainment Group.
Once in LA, she stepped into the studio to purge herself of the music that had been bottled inside for years. What emerged was 13 cuts of pure Nathalie Matthews. Her self-titled debut album is a delicious blend of pop and R&B that contains heartfelt messages of love, pain, healing and triumph. In honor of her roots, Nathalie also recorded two songs in French —one is Chaka Khan’s hit “Ain’t Nobody.” The album contains fabulous production by David Cochrane, formerly of the Commodores. He is responsible for hits from Lionel Richie, Paula Abdul, Atlantic Starr and others. Victor Holmes also joined in the effort (Tyrese, Randy Jackson, and Mike Epps). The album in currently in pre-release and can be found via the Internet.

What do you get when you mix the style of R&B with Pop, while adding a touch of style and class?? Nu-Tren!!! Making it as a band is not easy, but Nu-Tren does not let anything stand in their way. From preforming for the Baltimore Chamber of Commerce to working with Grammy Nominee, Mike Winans, these three are determined and willing to go the distance.
Back in August of 2000, Devin Nash and former memeber Keith Williams joined forces to put together a Pop/R&B vocal group. With many attempts at finding the right people to complete the group, Devin and Keith almost called it quits. But in August of 2002, that would all change.
Keith met their third member, Evan Dahne, at an audition for the dance team that Evan worked for. After working for several months with Evan on vocals, Keith thought it was time to introduce Evan to Devin, in the hopes of forming a group. So in May of 2003, the fellas came together and perfected the vocal harmonies for their first song, “The Star Bangled Banner”.
In the coming months, they would write several songs, and even record their first song, “On The Floor”, in October of 2003. In July of 2004, Nu-Tren sang the “National Anthem” for Villa Julie College’s commencement exercises, and for the Baltimore Chamber of Commerce.
In Late 2006, Keith Williams left Nu-Tren for personal reasons still unknown. Little did Nu-Tren know that prior to Keith’s departure another destiny was beginning.
