Defected Records are launching a new annual compilation series aptly titled MOST RATED. It is a series that allows the public to vote for their favourite dance tracks of the year. From these votes a final selection is made. To celebrate this new concept we are embarking on our first ‘Most Rated’ UK tour.
We see this as our opportunity to set dance floors alight up and down the country. We have structured our tour with the express purpose of taking our trademark live events to as wide an audience as possible. For those of you who need to know The Defected ‘Most Rated’ events strategy is clear. In the words of Simon Dumore, Label boss, DJ and founder -
‘It is our intension to deliver our unique sound to all our followers across the UK and the world. Our philosophy is that we do not just turn up with our records and play the event. Defected intend to fully support our commitments through good marketing, great associations and sheer hard work. Most Rated is a pioneering new concept for the compilation album. Offering the DEFINITIVE catalogue of this summer’s best tunes, this is NOT simply a collection of the biggest selling tunes of the year but a round-up of your funky house classics. The compilation will feature this year’s ‘most rated’ tunes as voted for by DJs, labels, leading industry figures and the record buying public. The compilation will also feature special previously unreleased mixes of some of club land’s best loved tracks. The end product of 8000 votes, torturous decision-making and endless debate is an album that you will set up your mood to party.
