Four Nominations For Franz Ferdinand
Franz Ferdinand have had a great year, they recently won the 2004 Mercury Music Prize, nominated for the US equivalent 'Shortlist Prize', and to top it all off, they lead this year's Q Awards with four nominations.
The Scottish indie-rockers are up for best new act, best album, for their self titled debut, and best single and video for "Take Me Out". The Scissor Sisters, The Streets and Muse are close behind with three nominations each.
The awards ceremony will take place on October 4 at The Grosvenor House Hotel on London's Park Lane.
All the acts nominated were voted for by readers of Q Magazine, so I really don't understand why Goldie Lookin Chain are in there. The full list of nominations is as follows:
